Zen in the Midst of Chaos

This piece finally decided on what it wanted to be. I have layers and layers on this canvas and did not like any of them until today. I almost gave up on it completely.

Cue Bob Ross saying there are no mistakes, only happy accidents. I feel like all of the other layers were the accidents and they just ended up adding so much to the complexity and depth of this final piece.

Her story:

I have been feeling and sensing everyone's overwhelm (including my own) from everything happening the the world around us that I feel we are craving the need to center ourselves. 

This piece represents just that. I have a much darker piece I created this week that I might share at some point if people are interested.

This is a more peaceful representation of finding your zen in the midst of chaos. 

Coming back to your center. Your core.

Remembering to breathe.

To separate yourself from the chaos even if it is only a few minutes a day. 

This piece can be seen as though you are being swallowed in the chaos or emerging from it. It can change daily, even hourly. You get to choose the meaning of it. It can be hung together like this or split. 

At the end of every day, I hope that you take the time to reset your soul. Breathe. Be kind to yourself and others.
