2026 Workshop! Two Ways To Create: An Exploration of Art in Paint and Brick
I'm happy to announce that I will be partnering with Doc from Brick-X in 2026 for Two Ways to Create: An Exploration of Art in Paint & Brick Workshop Series! This series is designed to make art approachable, hands-on, and social! It will combine structure with LEGO and freedom/intuition with abstract art in one creative workshop series!
WHEN: Workshops will run Tuesday evenings, starting February 10th - July. Some weeks may change because of host scheduling conflicts so stay tuned in!
HOW MANY CLASSES? 2 Workshops a month for 6 months. Sign up for a single workshop or sign up for all 12 workshops and receive a 10% discount!
WHAT TOPICS WILL WE COVER? We'll talk about principles of design from color, texture, storytelling, emotion and expression and more!
WHAT DO WE GET? In this Two Ways to Create series each participant will get double the hands on fun! You'll spend half the time creating with LEGO and Doc and the other half creating abstract art with me with pencil, charcoal, acrylic, and more! We provide all of the supplies, and you get to go home from each session with your creations. You'll get an intro to different mediums and tools to make marks or a refresher for those with more experience, how to use them. This will be a creative exploration with your own creativity! It's design is to combine the two different approaches to art
WHO IS IT FOR? New and aspiring artists, experienced artists, EVERYONE! It is open to anyone (12 to adult) who is interested in art, wants to engage in their local community & support small local businesses! No experience needed! You'll learn how to take the same basic principles and apply them across two different styles to create unique works of art. Creating art has been shown to reduce stress levels, to improve mood, connection, and community. We are here to provide the space to foster that creative connection with yourself and others in the community!
YOUR OWN SHOW! At the end of the 12 workshop session we will have a co-hosted exhibition where you can invite your family and friends to see your work in a gallery style show to celebrate your creativity!
